For all equestrians and horse lovers, this is a delightful addition to any room in your home, and a thoughtful gift for just that right person you have in mind. This lovely painting of Arabella is a reproduction from the Librairie Agricole de la Maison Rustique, Plate No. II.
The French at the bottom translates to "Arabella (5 years, 1m and 54 cm tall). Mare of the breeding livery of Count Joseph Polocky, Imperial Stables."
Count Polocky (or Potocki in Polish) was a passionate and renowned breeder of Arabian horses, with many famous clients in the British Aristocracy, and influenced the breeding of Arabians in the United States.
