RETURNS FOR ITEMS OTHER THAN FURNITURE

We have a 10-day return policy, which means you have 10 days after receiving your item to request a return.


To start a return, please contact us at contact@thetrouver.shop or call or text 206-280-0382. We aim to find a solution as soon as possible. We will gladly send a replacement or reimburse you. 


Please note:

  • The customer will need to cover the cost of the return and provide a tracking number, unless the item is damaged or the wrong item was shipped. 
  • The return amount will include the item cost and tax, minus the original shipping cost, unless damaged.
  • We do not accept returns on sale or promotion items and gift cards.

NOTE:  PRODUCT CONDITIONS
Please be aware that almost all our products are handcrafted.This way of production includes small imperfections that occur by manual crafting. Products might slightly deviate from the photos in color, pattern, and size.  


To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with the tag. The customer will need to cover the cost of the return and provide a tracking number, unless the item that arrived is damaged then Trouver will assume costs for the return. If Furniture is damaged, please see below.

Please remember that antiques, and many vintage items, each hold their own unique fingerprint of patina, wear, a few bumps or scratches that have withstood the test of time and embody the essence of a non-mass-produced item. At Trouver, we select only the most sturdy and ready to use and enjoy antiques and vintage items. We do not sell stemware with flea bites or cracks, and tabletop items are in the best condition. Any minor chips of wear or in manufacturing will be noted in the description and photos.


RETURN POLICY: Furniture
We do not offer returns for furniture items. As part of carefully selecting each piece for you on Trouver, we work hard to showcase detailed photographs so that our customers are well informed prior to purchasing. This is especially the case for furniture.  


Please take care to study the photos and at any time, please email me at contact@thetrouver.shop with questions. I will then call or email you, answering any questions and can send additional photos. Our goal is to bring beauty and ease to your home, and to keep the lines of communication open. We want you to be absolutely delighted and confident with your purchase!  


SIGNING FOR SHIPPING

Please make sure to inspect the box before signing for your shipment. If damage or deterioration is visible, please:

  1. Notify the delivery officer (the person at your door) prior to signing for the package.
  2. Ensure the delivery officer records a clear description of the damage, including photos where possible.
  3. Request your own copy of the damage description.
  4. Sign for the package and contact us immediately for further resolution.

Damages and Issues
If the item is damaged at the package opening, it is helpful if you can briefly explain the issue and send us a photo in case the item was damaged during shipping. Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged, or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We offer this conversation within 10 days of receipt of your item. After 10 days from receipt, we cannot make a refund.

Refunds
If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 3 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us at contact@thetrouver.shop l  or call 206-280-0382. During the week, I aim to return calls and emails within 48 hours, if not sooner. And on the following Monday or Tuesday after the weekends or holidays.
